2nd South Carolina String Band - Southern Soldier
"I’ll place my knapsack on my back
My rifle on my shoulder
I’ll march away to the firing line
And kill that Yankee soldier.”
A truly shit-kicking Confederate song, performed with great gusto by one of the best Civil War bands out there. I do not recommend this tune to those who consider themselves politically correct.
I don’t see why wouldn’t be considered politically correct. It’s just honest, man. I mean, the singer isn’t even ashamed to mention his Asian mother.
Jehanne / Saint Joan of Arc — Henri Pierre Hippolyte Dubois, 1873.
What a week.
Our short film won FIRST PLACE at NFAF nationals for the second year in a row, and then I took over 7000 photos and videos while taking video at Kingdom Bound festival, shooting roughly 50 bands and averaging on 4 hours of sleep.
I also got to see my buds in Tenth Avenue North again (you can visit the site i run for them HERE.)
Blog posts from Columbus and Kingdom Bound coming whenever I start sorting through everything.
Last break… and I am ready to finish this project.
